About
Hi, I'm Daisy.
For almost a decade, I've sat with women navigating life's hardest seasons. I've been coaching since 2016, with training in psychotherapy, coaching, mindfulness facilitation and yoga. I pull from all of it. However, the only thing I'm the expert in is me, and I hope this work encourages you that you are the expert in you.
I'm also a mum to two, a partner, a friend and a gemini. I have a gorgeous sausage nammed Frank and together we love long walks on the beach. Oh, and journaling of course!

The training behind the work
It started with a borrowed book.
My journey into this work began back in 2014, long before "life coach" was a term people knew, or before people spoke openly about therapy.
I was living in sydney and my friend Tash gave me Melissa Ambrosini's book Mastering Your Mean Girl and it spoke to me. I became hooked on self development and learning everything about it that I could. At the time Melissa was hosting goddess groups one evening a week. I'd catch the bus there after work, and eventually plucked up enough courage to ask if I could help out. That way I didn't have to pay for the event and I'd have access to Melissa's mind before and after. It felt like a jackpot.
It was her path, and her studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, that first inspired me to begin my own training. I wasn't looking for a career back then. I was looking for tools to navigate my own life, and the pain I'd experienced growing up. Losing my mum at 2 and all the various challenges I had experienced since.
I spent my mornings walking to the beach listening to lectures, and my evenings going over notes with a highlighter. I loved what I was learning so much that I started a small private Facebook group I called 'Hungry for Moore', just to share everything I was learning.
A little look back
The years that built this work.
Retreats, London, and learning the long way.
I immersed myself in the growing coaching and self development industry. If there was an event, I was there. Then I was lucky enough to land a volunteer position at Gwinganna Health Retreat. Dr Libby had started there, so I had to go.
I woke guests, took them on walks, helped in the gardens and with the food. It was a dream. Seven weeks all up, six of them working, and one week on the retreat as a guest as payment. By the end I'd sat through every seminar multiple times and had a life changing experience.
I later moved to London. A friend asked me to coach her, I was reluctant but said yes and my coaching business grew from there. I worked and coached on the side until little by little it grew. At the end of 2018 on my way home to NZ from london I spent time at the Golden Door retreat in the Hunter Valley too.
I've lived the evolution of this industry. I've stayed true to the work when it was quiet and niche, and now that the space is loud and confusing at times.
Where journaling found me.
For over a year I ran weekly journaling classes, until the pandemic shut them down. It was in those classes that my love for journaling truly blossomed. I saw first hand where people got stuck, and how the right question could unlock something profound.
During the pandemic I earned my mindfulness facilitator training. In 2022, on my thirtieth birthday, I gave birth to my first son, Finn. When he was nine months old I went back to university, something I'd wanted to do for years, and graduated with a postgraduate diploma in psychotherapy from AUT.
It was an incredible year of study, but I kept coming back to the power of journaling. Therapy is life changing but it remains out of reach for so many. Journaling offers a way to touch those same depths, and it's available to everyone, everywhere.
After graduating I relaunched my business as journl. and released our guided journals. Since then I've hosted countless classes and events, and welcomed my daughter, Lucy, in 2025.
And then journl.
Where it all started to take shape.
The only thing I am a true expert in is me. I hope this work encourages you to be the expert in you.
I hold these credentials, and I have a wealth of experience. I don't believe they are the be all and end all of your transformation. My work is not about me having the answers for you, it's about guiding you towards your own.
It's important to reach out and ask for support. It's equally vital to have a practice that lets you ask yourself the right questions, and to access the deep well of knowledge you already hold. Through coaching and journaling, I guide you back there.
Encouraging you to author a richer story.
Take back the pen.
