How do I Stick To a Journalling Practice?
Have you ever tried something new and, no matter how hard you try, getting it to stick feels impossible? Well, whenever we’re implementing something new into our lives, be that journalling, meditation, exercise, or anything else, it's important to know our ‘why’. Why are we doing this? Why should we keep doing this? See, when we understand our ‘why’, our intrinsic motivation supports us to keep going and therefore see the results.

The second way to make your practice stick is to add some allure. Make it feel special so that you can’t wait to dive back in again and again. When we are motivated to do something, we therefore do it more and then see the results which again keep us coming back.
Craft a positive vibe around your journalling practice by introducing a ritual that genuinely brings you joy. It could be something as simple as lighting a candle, brewing your favourite hot drink, or having a beautiful journal to write in. It doesn’t have to be grand, just uniquely special to you.
